A three point lift system was devised using three screw jacks, bevel gearboxes, couplings and drive shafts. The system was designed to be quick and easy to use by hand operation while being self-locking. Using metric machine screw jacks on the screw provided a mechanism that was self-locking and minimum torque input for hand operation.
3-Jacks Power Worm Gear Table Lifts Configurations:1. I-Configuration: three screw jacks arrangement, five flexible couplings, two connecting shafts, one motor or one handwheel.
2. L-Configuration: three screw jacks arrangement, one 3-way miter gear box, six flexible couplings, two connecting shafts, one motor or one handwheel.
3. T-Configuration: three screw jacks arrangement, one 3-way miter gear box, six flexible couplings, two connecting shafts, one motor or one handwheel.
4. TL-Configuration: three screw jacks arrangement, one 3-way miter gear box, six flexible couplings, two connecting shafts, one motor or one handwheel.
5. TI-Configuration: three screw jacks arrangement, one 3-way miter gear box, seven flexible couplings, three connecting shafts, one motor or one handwheel.
6. TT-Configuration: three screw jacks arrangement, two 3-way miter gear boxes, nine flexible couplings, four connecting shafts, one motor or one handwheel.
Note: when connecting shafts length is exceed maximum distance of between supports, pillow blocks are required.
